TE ARO EATS AT CUBA DUPA

Te Aro Eats is back for its fourth year at Cuba Dupa! This interactive, community-powered dining experience invites you to connect with fellow diners, get stuck into the meal mahi, and enjoy some seriously delicious kai—all while showcasing what’s possible when we come together. Join us for kai, music, dancing & more!

Saturday dining slots are 1pm, 3pm & 5pm

Sunday join us for a Koha BBQ 11am - 2pm.

Te Aro Eats is made possible by the amazing volunteers and staff from Seeds to Feeds, Everybody Eats, The Free Store, Wellington Timebank, Crop-Swap Te Whanganui a Tara, WCM, DCM, Compassion Soup Kitchen, WCC and Kaibosh Food Rescue, with awesome support from other like-mind community focused organisations.

Delicious Kai

Each meal shares the story of our kai and our people, celebrating the strength of our local food network. Dishes will be inclusive and easily cater to vegetarians, vegans, gluten intolerances and allergies.

Fueled by Volunteers

Te Aro Eats is powered by the incredible volunteers and staff donating their time from:

Seeds to Feeds
Everybody Eats
The Free Store
Wellington Timebank
Kaibosh Food Rescue
Orange Sky New Zealand
Compassion Kitchen

alongside Crop-Swap Te Whanganui a Tara, EKTA and other like-minded community organisations.

If you would like to be part of the crew, fill in the volunteer form and the team will be in touch.

Admission is by koha — either monetary or by giving your time or resources towards the mahi.

What does your dinner do?

Your ticket supports food security, reduces waste, and strengthens community resilience. What you pay helps ensure everyone has a place at the table.

While dining, guests will be encouraged to meet others at their table, connect and share stories. Activities throughout the experience will create moments of fun, conversation and celebration.

Te Aro Eats demonstrates what’s possible when community organisations collaborate and when barriers to good food are removed.

We can’t wait to welcome you into this special space and share some delicious community kai with you.
